Qt tank

Question.
Since i didnt have a fully seeded sponge for my qt i used the bottled bacteria. Im not sure exactly how well this works and after 2 days i started getting very little amonia reading so i did water change last night.
Now that i want to start with the prazi treatment it says i need to leave it in for 7 days and not to retreat within 3 days. But if im doing waterhange every 2 or 3 days Due to amonia it wont allow for the 7 days treatment.

Can i just put live rock in qt so i wont have to worry about amonia. Then it will llow me to do the 7 days of treatment. I realize after the copper ill have to throw the rock out but i see no other way to keep amonia down for 7 days straight without water change

Put liverock in qt.
prazi pro 7 days
Waterchange
Cupramine(copper) 14 days with waterchanges inbetween but keeping copper level steady
Prazipro again while using curpamine
Observe for few days.

Am i on right track ?
Still just observing the tang and its already getting used to me doesnt hide as much when i approach it eats spirulina brine, nori, and newlife spectrum pellet. Nothing odd that i notice

Cupramine (cooper) is an effective cure for Ick, but is unnecessarily hard on fish. I did do cupramine in qt but have now gone only to TTM method. Much better treatment (IMHO) than copper. I treat with Prazipro on the second and third transfers.

I understand the part about copper being harsh but i read ttm method and i just wouldnt be able to keep up with the time line and its very strict about not screwing up the timeline or else its all useless. Ive also read about formalyn baths but it seems thats worse for the fish then the copper.

Any thoughts on using the liverock for filtration ? I know if i use rhe copper it will be garbage but id rather waste 30 on some live rock ill throw out then on a amonia poisoned fish.

Or how about if i take some sand of the top of sandbed in my dt and put it in a bowl in my qt. then i can just throw sand away.

Would like to start with the prazi today so im a little impatiant for an answer sorry and thanks everyone for input
