QT water flow/oxygen?

Do I absolutely need a power head/water flow for my QT if it is only for fish? Would supply the tank with oxygen be enough/ok? A filter that drops the filtered water back into the tank from above the water line would supply oxygen right? Thank you!

The filter alone may/will supply enough oxygen for the fish, depending on fish load and temp. But...what happens if the filter stops working. I made the mistake of only using the filter because I was short a powerhead. Had a couple different qt tanks running at the time and thought, it is only for a few weeks then I will have one freed up. Well the filter stopped working and I lost a couple fish, one pretty pricey. So my advice is have some redundancy since murphy is alive and well.

I ran a Koralia 240 gph in my qt tank. I don't think it's absolutely necessary to do but I would never run a qt without some kind of ph or air pump with an air stone.

I would run a powerhead or an airstone. If you medicate some medication will reduce the available oxygen.

Yes. I have a 10g QT and I run a filter and a little aquaclear 30 powerhead with the ability to run an airline through it when I dose Prazipro.
