Ok...this is my last post for a while...I'm going to shut up...honest. But, I had a chance to have some quality Octo time tonight and had the good fortune of seeing him in a number of "skins". I know there have been a lot of people of getting Octo's...and just wanted to say that this is some of the stuff that you have to look forward to. I havn't seen a good pic of one in a while and these turned out ok. These pics were all taken about 10 seconds apart.
Enoy...

Keep posting the pics Bill!

Dont ever apologise for posting bimac pics either! LOL

So what size is this guy now compared to when you got it and how old is it you reckon?

Cheers
Colin

Those pictures not only show off the octopus's color change but also his texture change ability. When my octopus really wants to hide he becomes very pointy and even grows horns over his eyes.

Hey Pat,

You should see this new octopus I have. When it does the 'pointy eyebrows' it looks like Xmas trees on its head! The bimac however always seems to be much more relaxed and is starting to become the tubby little scrounging octopus that so many love LOL

That's my bimac passed the 5 week mark now. It has grown a fair bit but I am keeping this one at 72degF and feeding every 2nd day...

Awesome Pics! Thanks for posting them!

I don't know a lot about cheph's yet so I have one question...to get a frame of reference, how big is your octo compared to how big is the tank that he's pictured in?

thanks,
Deuce

The tank is a 56 gallon. The dimensions are 30l x 25h x 18 w. I had posted them wrong earlier. Think, a 90 gallon chopped down so it's not as long, a great tank for an Octo that likes to swim. The octo itself is about the size of a mans hand, with his head being the size of a small lemon. I have had him now comming up on 6 months, and would immagine he was about 6 months old when I got him. In the first pic, he is hanging next to a Magnum HOT filter. That may give you a better reference as to how big he is.
