quarantine clean up crew??

ok after my tank cycles...im going to get a cleaning crew. Since theres no fish in the tank. is it recommended to quarantine the new cleaning crew? and when would i be able to add fish?

Hi Pogi,

The current consensus is yes, quarantine everything you add. This is because some diseases have been shown to hitchhike on inverts. However, if the clean up crew is the first addition you can add them and just wait around a month before adding fish. This is not a bad idea anyway with a new tank as it gives it some additional time to age.
