Quarantine Corals with Live Rock

What is the consensus on having LIVE ROCK in a permanently running CORAL QUARANTINE tank?
I like the idea of having a biological source, but my concern is specifically;
-a hitchhiker survives the initial dipping. (very possible)
-once in the QT, it hightails out of its nasty old home to a nice fresh rock.
(very difficult to observe a hitchhiker in Live Rock)
-hangs out ,recovers and jumps onto any new piece of coral that is placed in the QT tank.
-and voila!.....out it comes when that new piece gets placed into the D.T
