Quarantine/frag tank

I have a 15 gallon quarantine tank in the basement that sits un occupied except for a crab 90% of the time, so I started using it for frags. No problems.
If I do use this for a quarantine tank again I may need to use some type of medications. Will this prevent me from using the tank again for frags?? I have read conflicting reports about the residual effects of trace amounts of copper, etc on coral.
What are your experiences???? ;)

In short, I wouldn't do it.

I wouldn't be too concerned about using the frag in your main tank again --- be more concerned that the frags would still be alive -- Not saying that all the meds that you might have to use would kill them, but a good amount of them would.

When I was using it for quarantine it would remove all the coral. Then after the quarantine is finished, I would use it for frags again. Change the water and hope any traces of meds in the silicone wouldn't hurt the coral. R

Ahh, okay. That might be a bit better. Without know what meds you plan on using, I don't think I would try it.

Not sure how much the med ( and or copper ) would stay in the silicone. It might worth a try with some frags you are willing to lose, but I would hate for you to lose some really good ones.

Hopefully someone with more experience with frag tanks will chime in.
