Quarantine System...

Hey guys, this may be better placed in the fish disease and treatment forum, but it's more of a set-up question so I thought it may fit here.

So, I'm fairly new, but I'm quarantining a very small (~2") Auriga Butterfly, It's in a 10 Gallon tank. First question being, is that too small?

Second question I let the tank cycle for ~6 weeks even though I added water from the existing tank. For filtration I have a Marineland Bio-Wheel 200 (sans-bio-wheel) and a small 20-40 gallon heater. Is this sufficient equipment for the tank?

Side note, testing daily and doing every-other day water changes.

thanks for any help,
David

IMO, for a 2" fish, the tank size and equipment are fine. make sure you don't overfeed and test NH4 every other day, I would only change water and add some Seachem Prime, if amonia or nitrite rises.

there is a great article on QT in reefkeeping magizine here on Reef central.
