I have a quarantine tank set up now. 20 long wtih 20 gal sump. My questions are what types of medications can I use to prevent any ich or parasites. I want to refrain from use of copper if at all possible. I currently have a few pounds of live rock and sand in the bottom because i was using it as a display/frag tank. I plan on freshwater dipping the new fish with addition to methylene blue for 5 minutes before introduction to the quarantine. Can I leave the live rock and sand to aid in filtration, or do I need to remove all? Also, what types of medications should I get and what procedures should I follow for the quarantine period? I need some experienced reefers to help me with this because this will be my first time using a QT system. Also, what are your thoughts about Coral QT in the same tank? are the coral treatments ok to use while treating fish?
