Quarantine tank size?

What is the best size for a quarantine tank? I am currently using a 30g tank, but it seems too small for some of the tangs, angels, butterflies to reside in for an extended period. However, a larger tank makes it difficult to treat illnesses due to the amount of medication/copper treatment required per water volume.

Also, how long do you quarantine? Smaller tank sizes, meds, and hyposalinity cause stress. Is it detrimental to fish health having them in quarantine for extended periods of time (such as ~4 weeks for a new arrival)?

Any opinions, suggestions, and/or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

That's a pretty good size tank for a QT.
But like you said the larger fish such as Tangs, butterflies and angels wont have much room and could get stressed.I'd look into a used 55 gallon.I have one when I upgraded to my 90 and plan to use that for a while.
