I know that every livestock you introduce to the main tank should be quarantined, does this include the corals. If it should be quarantined how long? And what are the signs I should look for to make sure that what I got was healthy.
Most of the SPS keepers will quarantine a new coral to make sure there are no bad hitchikers on it. Such as, flatworms or red bugs. Look for good coloration and polyp extention. Make sure thare are no abnormal growths or tumors on the coral. You can easily tell the difference in a healthy coral and one that is unhealthy when knowing what to look for.
