Quarantine?

I have a long spinned sea urchin in quarantine for about 3 weeks now. I recently went to my lfs and they had a realy nice feather duster can I buy and put it in with the urchin? or should I wait till quarantine is over for the urchin?

Once you introduce something new to the QT, quarantine starts over. If it were me, I would probably rinse the urchin in a bucket of system water and put it in the display, then add your feather to QT. Inverts don't contract Ich, they may carry it on their bodies, and if it's been in QT with no fish for 3 weeks the chances that it will transmit Ich to the display after a vigourous rinse in separate system water is unlikely, IMO.

Then again, I'd say if your Urchin has been in for 3 weeks with NO FISH AT ALL, its probably ok to move your Urchin to your display then put in the feather duster. So maybe you could pick that FD up on the way home, but do remove the Urchin from quarantine before putting the FD in.
