Quarantining 2 tangs at once?

Iplan on buying 2 tangs a hippo tang and a yellow tang both of them under 2". I want to put them in a QT before adding them into my DT. I currently have a 20 gallon QT. Do you guys think that my QT is to small for both of them?

I tried two 2" tank raised tangs in a 15 gallon QT and it was a disaster. Too much stress on both fish. Next time I'll QT one at a time.

40g breeder small, 75g is a better size

For TTM 10g or 20g would be OK, but for long term QT 40 would be a minimum.
Wait for the $1 / gallon sale at Petco and grab one then.
Otherwise my vote is one at a time.

remember, the goal of a QT is to have the fish comfortably be seen for a period of time to make sure it does not have any pests/diseases. even though your tangs are small, they will still require a big tank. tangs have the same requirements all throughout their lives, large tanks. the size of the tang does not matter that much. i agree with dmorty on this one, 75 gallons is a good size.

Just split the tank with a divider and you should be fine only issues I could see is them giving disease to each other

I qtd my yellow tang along with a sunrise pseudochromis in a 5g Home Depot bucket lol

I did TTM on two Ctenochaetus tangs (twospot and squaretail) without any trouble but they were both less than 3". Two different genus of more aggressive tangs might not go as well though.

Imo, 20g is fine. Just provide a lot of hiding place for them. Do not use copper as long as u can, juvenile r sensitive. If needed, use the bare min, 1/4 of the dose required and watch closely. GL

I'd avoid copper too if they do get ich do hypo and ttm especially on juvi tangs
