Quarintine?

I'm getting some LPS in a few days. Two lobos, a candycane, and a short tentacle plate. After dipping my zoos recently in Lugol's solution to combat a parasite infection I'm wondering if anyone does the same for these corals? Does anyone quarantine or do any preventative dips? I'd like to keep them in quarantine for as short a time as possible to minimize stress.

Several companies make coral dips that you can use to help prevent disease.
Not many people QT their corals, but it is an excellent idea. The obvious drawback is that the QT tank must have as good as, if not better, water quality than the main display, and sufficient lighting. I generally suggest at least 4 weeks if youre going to QT anything.

That's the problem, I don't have the setup to quarantine for 4 weeks. I have a seachem coral dip, would that be sufficient? Is a freshwater dip with iodine not recommended?

If you dont have a QT, seachem dip will be about the best route for you. I wouldnt do a freshwater dip; there isnt a big advantage in using FW vs SW dips if youre using iodine or some other chemical along with it, so go with the less stressful SW
