Quarrantine Tank Question

I painted the back of my quarantine tank black with krylon fusion - works beautifully.

I had read that it was best to paint the bottom white to identify ditrius. I was curious if painiting it black as well would also work or is this just a mistake?

I am starting slow - and trying to do things right the first time so I was hoping for a little information from experienced quarantiners.

The q-tank is a 20 gal long.

Thanks!

I don't see any problems with painting the bottom black. My LFS has tanks with black bottoms and it's very easy to spot detritus.

My QT is bare bottom and you can see the smallest things in there. I really don't believe you need to paint but it probably wont hurt.
