Question about 6065's

Hi Roger,

I've got my 2 6065's apart for cleaning today, and I noticed the prop tips as well as the stops in the front covers are pretty beat up. I know this is the anti-reverse on these pumps, and the pumps have been starting in reverse from time to time.

Would I benefit from buying new prop assemblies and front covers? I notice on Tunze.com the new props are the more durable blue material.

These pumps are about 2 years old, and while never used on a wavemaker, they do get turned off and on a couple of times a day for about 15 minutes each time while I feed my fish.

Thanks!

The new blue props have not started shipping yet, I would wait on that. On the first 6065's the plastic of the cover was thinner and more prone to damage. My suggestion would be to make due if you can, for just a bit longer, the blue props on 6065, 6085 and 6125 are just now being phased in. I will work with you to replace these at a much lower cost when they come in so don't order on Tunze.com, check with me in a week or two and hopefully we have the new blue prop drive units.

Thanks, Roger!

Definitely no problem to keep these pumps in service as they are for now. Matter of fact, since I just took these apart, a couple of weeks or so before I have to take them apart again will be appreciated.

I will check back in with you to see the status of the new stuff in a couple of weeks.

Thanks again,

Glen

Hi Roger,

Bumping this thread to see if you've gotten the blue props for the 6065's in stock?

Thanks!

Roger,

I know Friday afternoon is kinda busy but did any blue props for the 6065 come in on yesterday's shipment?

Thanks!

No, we got more black ones, I emailed a special request for blue ones to Mr. Tunze and we will see, maybe some will come very soon.

Roger,

Thanks for requesting the blue props from Mr. Tunze, it's very much appreciated. This is the sort of help and service that makes sure I, and so many others are repeat Tunze customers.

I do feel like I'm badgering you a bit about these things, though... when would be a good time to check back in and see if Mr. Tunze was able to help us?

Then, I won't have to keep bumping this thread and bugging you!

Thanks again for your help!

Things will be on pause temporarily around here starting next week. I am getting married Nov 13 and Mr and Mrs. Tunze are coming to the wedding and I will be out of contact from the 11th-18th. I hope they will come in before then, but for both of us, everything is chaos right now with just too much to do. I would suggest checking back next week and if I don't have a positive answer check in again around the 22nd.

Thanks, I think I will have the blue propellers very soon, I followed up with my account manager and she wrote me it wasn't a problem and she would get them sent.
