question about 9002 skimmer and water level...

hi, i'm thinking of getting the Tunze 9002 for my sumpless 20 gallon fish only tank with live rocks... i'm wondering if the performance of this skimmer varies much with water level fluctuations... i have other in sump skimmers from Octopus, both recirculating and non recirculating and both does not seem to deal with even the slightest water level fluctuations very well... this tank has 2 x T5 lighting only so evaporation from heat isn't much of an issue, but water level still fluctuates...

It doesn't handle fluctuations very well, most skimmers won't. The water level should not deviate more than 1/2" up or down.
