Question about a 6060

In a prior post on here several days ago a person asked about putting a 6060 on a wavemaker. You replied and said that it was not recommended to do this because the 6060 needed to cool down before being turned back on which takes about an hour. I don't have mine on a wavemaker or anything, but my question is this. I turn my 6060 off to clean the tank and all once a week and I also would like to start turning it off when I feed once a day. Do I need to wait an hour before turning it back on each time it is turned off? This is my first Tunze and I have it on a 110. Thanks for the help.

Cooling down is a simple explanation. The real reason is that the brake mechanism needs time to fully retract and if it doesn't the pump can lock up and overheat, this is what can happen with a normal wavemaker but with what you want to do it is fine.

Thanks for the explanation. One other question that I forgot to ask. I have 1/2" glass on my tank and I want to get a mag mount for the 6060. Which mag would you recommend? I was thinking the 6200.50 but wanted to make sure it would fit the 6060.
