Question About attempting to pair clown fish

Hi, i bought a baby Ocellaris about a weeks ago, then i realized i shouldve bought two. My question is can i now purchase the second one , as long as their close in age and size? Or am i running a risk of fighting? If i go back to the same place should i try not to get one thats "related" to the one i have now? The reason i ask is cause my hope is one day to try to breed them, and id prefer not to have "retarded" clown fry. I have a 75 gallon reef tank that has a baby ocellaris, 3 bluegreen chromis, and a few inverts.
Thanks in advance,
D.G

If it's a baby you can get another baby occellaris and introduce it to the tank, hopefully with no issues. Try to get a smaller one than the one you already have, if possible.

Okay thanks for the timely responses. I'm going out to my lfs today. I know like when i used to breed snakes you could mix and match color morphs. This is possible with clowns too right?

So I went to my LFS and they had 3 different types of clownfish, they had a bunch black and white ones , a bunch of "regulars", and 4 snowflakes but 2 were sold, and one had a "puffy gill" like a deformation, so he said wouldn't sell that one. So the last one looked pretty heathy with large white patches buy it's the same size as the one i have now. But I got it anyways. Hopefully that was a good choice???( input?) I didn't get to take it home so I have no pics but I'll be going back on Tuesday to get it ( they just came in today so he said he wanted to quarantine it for a while). I was wondering I know alot of snake morphs are done thru selective breeding, and cross breeding. Is this the same? Or is snowflake like an albino, that occurs in nature? Thanks for everyone's help.

There have only been a few with different patterns found in nature. Mostly it's selective breeding.

if they are still juvies then your fine. the main reason to get the 2nd one smaller. is when they get to the point of who is going to be the female. it makes it simple. instead of 2 clowns of the same size fighting to be the female. it is i'm bigger then you, so bow down and shake like bacon.

Hey sorry I haven't come back to post an update , I broke my phone so I haven't been able to post photos. ( I use tapatalk on my iPhone to host photos) but I'm here to say all is well with the clowns. From the time I put em in they stick together like little buddys. Protecting each other from my big bad blue-green chromis. The only aggressive blue greens I've ever seen. Any ways heres the pics I promised.
