question about ballast

ok so i just got a new ice cap ballast fro a 250watt mh and when i tryed to plug it in to the mogul it looked like it was not going to fit the mogul has 3 prongs but the middle one is roundish and the female part that comes off the ballast has 3 prongs but they all look like they are all just strait lines going up and down is there something i need to buy for this like a adapter or something?

I was referring to splicing the wires. If the socket to go with an icecap ballast is supposed to have a special plug, and you don't have an icecap socket, then you may have to splice wiring from each. I've never had an icecap ballast, so I can't say for sure.

yeah i know what you were talking about but i dont know where to find the parts for the mogul
