question about chaeto

i made a fuge out of my second chamber on my biocube 14.

does the chaeto need to be fully submerged in water? or is it ok being dripped on...thx

no it needs to be in the water. Dripping would not be enough, although pouring water would be ok i guess.

Dont mess with nature! submerge it

i would submerge it, dont have it out of the water.

It can be out of the water but will die & turn brown.

I use a 10g for my refugium, lot's of baffles so my "cheato" area is kinda small, the chunk tends to stick up about an inch out of the water, I use a HOB (cheap walmart brand) for circulation, this keeps the part sticking out of the water pretty moist all the time, and every 2-3 days I turn the chunk over, Have never witnessed any of it dying or turning brown.
