Question about filters and flow

Hi Guys,

I have a 35g tank with 3 seahorses and I am just about to upgrade to a 90g tank. I am stuck as to which filter I should buy, I think I will go with a canister and am looking at either the fluval 405 which will turn my water around 4 times an hour and a fluval fx5 which will turn my water around about 11 times an hour.

When I asked the lfs they said the 405 should do the job. I want one that will do a great job, not just 'should' do the job but I am worried the fx5 will be too much flow for seahorses.

Maybe if I get the fluval 405 and a skimmer will that be a better choice?

Also how many seahorses could I put in a tank that size (so that it is not overstocked - but so all the seahorses can still find food)

Thankyou

personally, i'd get a drilled tank w/a central trapezoidal O/F and run a sump-type setup. i'd even go a step further and suggest a CL as well. however, if you're dead-set on a canister, go w/the FX5. as long as they aren't plastered against the glass and have some lower flow areas to rest in, SH aren't the flow wimps the outdated info out there suggest.
