Hey everyone, I've got a pair of fire shrimp that have been with me for about a month now. Up until approx. a week ago they've both been active and displaying healthy feeding behavior, however one of them has recently moved off to the opposite side of the tank (away from the usual hiding/feeding area) and has parked itself there. It is just hanging out underneath a ledge and does move around within a few inches, but no longer comes out to feed as it used to (and the other still does). I'm beginning to get a little worried about its lack of feeding behavior as it's been probably about a week now since I've observed it feeding. I plan to try target feeding some mysid shrimp (which they usually accept eagerly), but I'm not convinced I'll have much luck. I understand that they often retreat to a safe location in preperation for molting, but how long does the process usually take? Should I be concerned? Are there any other actions I can take to help the situation?
Thanks in advance!
