Question about fish

So I have had my tank going for about 10 weeks or so now. I have some damsels in there and a star fish soon i and going to do my first water changes next week??? is that okay. and my other question is how many fish can i keep in a 20 gal tall and what are some good fishes i can put in there? im going to take the damsels out soon

I'd put in 2 ocellaris clowns and clown goby, that's what I plan on doing in mine.

i had a pair of maroon clowns with their anemone, an algae blenny, a six line wrasse ,assorted crabs snails and a few soft corals in mine but i filtered the hell out of it.

Firefish are fun as well as blennies. Most gobies might do well. I suggest finding a couple small fish that will stay small. Remember a lot of times less can be more.

Add. Fish. Slowly. In a 20 the bio filter can take a long time to compensate for each fish.

Have you been testing your water? What are your readings? I would think, you already should of done a water change. Damsels can be a real pain to catch! You can cycle a tank without fish...I didn't learn that till I spent an entire afternoon trying to catch a damsel.
Are you going to have a fish only tank? Or do you want coral too? Deciding this, will help you choose your fish.

Im doing a water change in 2 weeks that will be 12 weeks my tank has been up. its ready for a water change
