Question about Loc Line in a 24g Aquapod

Has anyone found a way to use Loc Line in a 24g Aquapod with the stock output orafice and not doing any drilling? I tried 3/4" and it was too big to fit on the orafice and the 1/2" was too small. I would like to have a "Y" comming out of the stock water output in the upper left hand corner so I can play with the flow direction better but unless Loc Line makes any odd sizes I am at a loss. My other thought is to just add another power head right in the tank on the side pointing in the direction I want more flow. Any thoughts?
