Question about merc phposphate test kit

Just received my order from you guys and I purchased one of the merc phosphate test kits. The expiration date says 1/ 31/ 08. Is this normal for these kite to last such a short time or did I just receive an older kit? I know the salifert kits usually last quite a while. Thanks for your time.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your post, after contacting the manufacturer directly I spoke with one of their tech guys regarding your situation. He said to me that the expiration date is more like a guide line for us to "sell by" that particular date. He assured me that he has had the same kit for at least 8 years and gets accurate readings every time. I hope the information I provided is useful to you
