question about MH socket

I have a 175 watt SE Blueline pendant with corresponding electronic ballast. Does anyone know if the SE socket is the same for both 175W and 250W bulbs? Is it just a matter of upgrading the ballast and bulb to 250 watts or would I need a new socket piece as well? thanks all.

Cool, so basically new ballast and bulb should do it? That certainly makes upgrading easy!!

i don't consider 175w to 250w an upgrade because the Iwasaki 175W Aqua2 14000K Mogul Base puts out more par than most 250w. I purchased a (2 x 250w) fixture but wish would had done a retro with the Iwasaki 175w and T5 instead. Save on electric and produce more par.
