Question about mixing Clownfish

I recently had a pair of TRUE Percula Clownfish and I lost the larger one to getting sucked into my skimmer (I have rectified that problem). About a week ago I was given a FALSE Percula from someone who has had him for a year or so in an established tank. He has been in my QT tank for a week now, and is bigger in size than the True Percula that I have in my main tank.

Can I keep the two together ? Will this be a problem and should I just get rid of one and buy a matching species ?

Thanks !

P.S. I did read the Mixing FAQ....

If your perc became a female, it won't work. If it didn't become the female yet, then it depends. I'm leaning towards them pairing though.

I've heard cases where two mixed percula species will get along. however i have also heard the opposite. I think it depends on the personality of the individual fish. From my experience the true perc will be more hostile then the false perc. Also are you trying to get them to pair up? Or just want the two fishes to get along in a tank? It think it's possible for them to get along in a 30g. You could try putting two anemones in there so they both got a place to hang out.

I had a pair of maroon clown. When I put in the true percula, the pair of maron clown tried to fight the true clown. The result was the true percula could not survive. As you can tell the maroon is much bigger and more aggressive than the percula clown.

yea if you had thought to research first you could have saved the fish from a horrific death....
