Was hoping that I could get some help here.
I have a pair of Tunze 6100's. I bought these used off of RC, close to a year ago. Havent used them at all yet, right now I am in the process of setting up a new tank, and hope to have my tank up and running in the next week or so.
I was just taking a look at the 6100's, I took them apart and looked at the impellers, when I noticed that the impellers are different.
Here are some pictures.
Notice that on the other impeller there is no screw, and the white ring is also missing. I really don't know what these parts are called, sorry about that, that is why I called it "the white ring". There also doesn't seem to be any place to put the white ring. It seems like there would be a spot for the screw, but if I'm not mistaken, the screw holds the impeller together, and the impeller without the screw does not fall apart, so I don't know what's going on with that one.
Does anybody know why they are different? I'm guessing maybe one is an older model than the other one, but I really am not sure, and I want to be sure, that is why I am asking.
