question about my 9002 - airline correctly installed

Hi Roger,

My brand new 9002 is working fine, I just want to make sure i've got it setup correctly. I thought that the air intake line goes directly up to the blue screw, and if I screw in the blue screw all the way, the bubble production should stop completely. However, if I screw in the blue screw as far as it will go, there is still a decent amount of bubbles. Does this mean something is incorrectly put together? even if i screw the screw in and then plug the other end of the threaded hole with my finger, there is bubble production.

just wanted to get your advice before I take it apart. Everything is so compact in there, its kind of a pain to put back together.

There is still some bubble production with the screw all the way closed, but it should be markedly less than fully open. If you remove the screw and plug the screw hole and hole on the other side, the airflow should be zero, otherwise some air gets by the threads in the screw, but it should be a very small amount.

great tip about removing the screw and plugging both ends with my fingers. when i did that, the bubbles stopped completely. now i know it is put together correctly.

when reading some of rogers other advice i found that the water line indicated on the body is more of a maximum. when the skimmer is raised a bit more you dont have to worry about minimizing bubble production as much.
