Question about my Tunze

I purchased my Tunze Nanostreem 6025 from Marinedepot a few months back.

I have had several problems with the unit from the date I purchased it. I spoke with a pet shop owner and was told this is a known issue with the first revisions of the unit.

When I plug the unit in it doesn't start up, I need to smack it in order for it to spin up.. and sometimes it spins up backwards.

Is this something that is covered under warrenty? And is it possible to have a replacement sent out to me (by me giving you my CC #) and I'll return the broken one when new one arrives. (I'd hate to be powerheadless for x-weeks)
