Question about new refugium.

I am adding a 15 gallon refugium to my 60 gallon cube. Should i have a DSB in it like 6 inches? Also what is the best algae to put in there? Hopefully there is one that doesnt go sexual. Also should i add live rock too? Thanks.

sounds like you have it have down already!

6" dsb would be great
should have a lil bit of flow then too to prevent problems w/ the dsb cyano etc... LR is good too

might suggest using chaeto
seems to be a popular choice these days for a lot of reasons... and perhaps a good one to start out w/ atleast - until you have more time to learn about using others

Between the return pump and the flow coming in will that be enough? Can the cyano move to the DT from the fuge?
