question about regal?

hes really doing good but hes not really taking any prepared food. i have a huge population of sponges in my tank and can see him decimating the population. Im happy that his belly is always nice and round but when they are gone is he going to starve to death. ive tried formula 1 and formula 2 flakes and sea veggies w/ a dash of kent garlic .

Have you tried frozen foods?

include cylopeez (frozen) i have never seen a fish not totally dig it. it wont be enough to sustain it long term but it is a start. ive had one for over three years and i feed a mix of angel formula, form 1&2, cyclopeez, mysis, brine, all soaked in zoe, selcon, garlic xtreme, and then blended.

yea i feed mysis and krill but i heard angel formula can b really messy even with the grid clip but if it works then ill def go for it. are they into nori at all?

nori? absolutely, mine pushes certain tangs out of the way to get it but it took time.

as far as the frozen food, thaw it out in a cup of tank water then drop it in front of a powerhead or return

I would try some new life spectrum pellets, probably the small 1mm size pellets would be best. I know a lot of regal keepers and others who have good luck keeping touchy fish who report that fish love this food, I know all of my fish do.

I second Kahuna. Wierd as it may sound, the LFS has gotten regals to eat pellets and flake sometimes before mysis. All of my fish love new life spectrum pellets.
