Question about the Hurricone skimmers

Hi there I am interested in getting a Cat 1 hurricone skimmer but had a couple questions. Would this skimmer be enough for a tank and sump with a total water volume of around 150 gallons right now and maybe a 40 gallon fuge in the future? Also there are other retailer claiming to be the only authorized sellers of these and if purchased elsewhere the warranty will not be honored is this true? I would MUCH rather buy from you guys than those guys.
