Question about timers.

Quick question fellow reefers.

I run a CA 250 watts electronic MH ballast on an Intermatic digital timer with the LCD display. It comes at the specified time that I set it to, but it never turns off at the time set. I know the timer isn't defective, but I have heard that there have been issues running ballasts on these timers, should I consider getting the ones with the skipper pins instead?

I have used both with PFO magentic ballasts. The only issue I had with the mechanical version was that it wasn't very accurate. If you are ok with +/- 15 minutes or so I guess it will work.

I am using a ReefKeeper II controller now and will never go back.
