Question about Torch Corals

Hey everybody. I recently got two torches. I have a green tipped torch and a jade torch. Both are good sizes and very beautiful. I placed one high up in my tank and another in the sandbed. The one high up get pretty heavy/direct flow while the one down below get's a more moderate to low flow. It still sways around very nicely. But when I turn off the lights, the jade on the SB stays the same with tentacles fully extended but my green tip up top completely retracts it tentacles and shrivels up. When I turn on my actinics he starts letting loose and an hour later, by the time I turn on my regular lights, he is fully extended and back to normal. When he retracts his tentacles, the go flat and no longer look tubular. Is this normal? Is this their way of sleeping or do I have it under too much flow? Please help. I want what is best for my corals and am willing to move them to wherever I need to. Thanks guys.

at night torch corals extend sweeper tentacles that can irritate other corals within their reach (which can be significantly greater than the reach of the regular tentacles)
