question about updated driver for streams

Hello Roger,

I have a Tunze 6000 stream that I purchased last year but have not yet used. I will soon be ordering a 7095 controller and a second 6000. I'm curious about the updated driver, which I assume I will get with the new 6000. Is it possible to get an updated driver for the stream I have or should I just keep my fingers crossed and hope it will run fine. I'm concerned because it is still in the box and the warranty will be expired when I finally test it out. Also, I assume there are no compatibility issues mixing an older version with a newer version when using the 7095.

thanks for your advice

From a year ago it should have driver 7240.27- the new one. The only change since then is a lower alarm threshold wich is generally not an issue on the 6000 since it cannot really make enough power to self destruct like the 6200 or wavebox can. This is a trade off as you have a more sensitive and annoying alarm vs the not to likely possibility (yet to see it on a 6000) that the driver will overload. The 7240.26 had really no reliability issues it just wouldn't work for the wavebox or 6200 since it couldn't handle the watt load. Their are no compatibility issues.
