Question about using my EOS

My wife and I have really gotten into this hobb in the past few years. And we have a cannon EOS DSLR. We do have the stock lens 18-55mm and a 75-300mm lens. How do you turnthe flash off? I hate the reflection you get off the glass. And I really want to take some pictures that glo. The flourecesnt (spelling) kid. What kind of filters do you need for this and are they available for this camera?

I imagine you are using automatic mode, and the camera thinks you need flash. EOS cameras were made for Av, Tv, and M modes. Pop the flash down and turn your dial to one of these. For florescence in a picture, you need the subject (i.e. coral) to have florescence in the first place. This can be accomplished with actic lighting. Filters are not traditionally used, but all that is about to change...
