Question about white dots

I am relatively new to this great hobby. Just noticed lots of little white dots on my glass. Is this something I should worry about or maybe beneficial?

if they move and skip like fleas, they're copepods, fish dessert, sign of a healthy tank.

If they don't move, it's probably coralline algae; also a good thing.

If you have snails, could be eggs.

If the tank is relatively new they could be dyflagolites (sp?).

Sounds like something I had when my tank was relatively new... hydroid jellyfish??
