I was just wondering if you keep all your inverts (corals, shrimp, crabs, clams ect) in seperate systems from your fish? Only asking because I have some snails right now and this will be the deciding factor if I quarantine them or place them directly in the display aquarium. I generally only quarantine inverts that are kept with fish or in systems with fish. I've placed several orders from live aquaria and have been very pleased but only recently have I caught on to quarantining (which I hate).

Thank you for your inquiry. Our invertebrates that we sell are kept separately from fish. In general, however, most fish diseases cannot be transmitted to invertebrates. We generally recommend quarantining any specimen you receive if possible, as this will make it easier to separate should the need arise. Not the inverts transmitting I was worried about but the water they are shipped in IF kept with fish and what may come along for the ride (with my understanding attaching to any hard surface happens in one of the stages of ich combined with the short shipping time it could be possible to transfer parasites this way). perhaps thats false or unlikely but it looks like I need not worry. thanks for the quick response!

To further clarify, once the animals in your order have been selected for shipment, they're carefully placed in new freshwater or seawater of the proper pH and specific gravity.
