So I got my new MH combo system today and love it. It consists of 2x250watt 10K's, PC actinics and the moonlights most of these fixtures come with.
I'm trying to decide on a lighting schedule. How long do you all usually keep your halides running? Do you use the actinics for the dusk/dawn effect and then have them go off or do you have them going all day? How many hours a day do you usually have the halides running?
I plan to keep SPS and clams at some point so I'm sure that matters.
Also, I got a pretty decent deal on this fixture but it's only over a 75gallon tank. Is this overkill for this size tank? Again, I intend to keep all sorts of SPS and clams. I can already tell this thing puts out the heat so I'll be planning for that when the tank is ready to get going.
