Question for the Neptune Apex Gurus

Guys,

I have an old Apex Jr. system and I am trying to see what degree (if any) it's backwards compatible with the newer controllers. If it helps, the serial number on the peripheral I would like to resurrect is #AJR6103.

This unit is the 4 outlet model.

Thanks for any info., that you can provide!

I’m not a apex guru by any means but my understanding is most of the newer apex gear (trident, etc) “should” be backwards compatible as I do not believe the connections have really changed. The jr still uses the the aquabus last i knew which most things apex are powered by.

Yep, the Jr uses the aquabus. Your understanding of backwards compatible is the same as what I thought as well.

What are you wanting to add? I have an old Apex Jr as well.

@kharmaguru was a huge help to me when I bought my (used) Apex and components.
Basically, one of the newer controllers (Apex). But I am not liking the reviews I am reading. Seems that Neptune is still behind the power curve with respect to wifi protocols/communications. In present times wifi/Blue tooth issues should be a thing of the past. Thoughts?

That’s one of the reasons I’m moving to Hydros with my upgrade.
