question how to drill acrylic?

This morning I am going to drill my half inch acrylic tank for my return. Here are some questions I have. Should I use a fine bit holesaw,does it matter what speed I use,do I have to worry about cracking it,any help appreciated.

Hey Phillip,
slow is the key, getting the acrylic too hot will melt the shavings and create a glob of melting ooze. I'd prefer a course tooth just to prevent clogging the teeth with the ooze.
