Has anyone here ever used any of those products that are supposed to increase growth, PE, or color on your corals. I saw some at a store recently and read a bit about them in the forums, but wanted to know if anyone here has had any long term success OR failure (no improvement) with using any of these products (zeo, red sea colors, acropower, reef chili, etc).

I have used the Brightwell, Zeo and Fauna Marin.
By far, the best and most pronounced results have been with zeo(growth, color and vitality) . I am using pohls extra special and their amino acids. But very, very light. On my 65 gallon system, I only use 10 drops a day. Amino, I use 1 drop 2x a week.. Very, very light use..

i think the reef chili and reef roids are good coral foods. but who knows if they are actually able to break them down. this is why i have switched to the rotifer culture.. plus its fun to feed them and watch my coral PE go crazy

im doing phyto, rotifers, and tisbe pods currently... rotifers are the easiest by far and they multiply so fast its insane. all you need is some phyto (either live or store bought) and a 5 gal bucket to culture them in. then you just keep the salinity at around 1.020 and an airline that is bubbling at a mild rate. the hardest thing is keeping them fed 24/7. and that is super easy (just keep the water light green) and then all you do is harvest them daily or every few days (whatever you feel like basically) and refill with more salt water at 1.020. I currently culture mine in a 1 gallon jug and i dump out half of them every other day in my tank.

I will have my setup running at PN if you make it and we can go through it. Like Nick said it is very easy. I also have a culture I need to split if you need a starter culture.

you could probably split it every day until the PN and still have enough to split for people if they want... i dumped half of my culture in my tank yesterday :dance:
now phyto on the other hand... the struggle is real. my cultures keep crashing! :mad2:
