Question on Eshopps Eclipse Overflow

Is anyone using this overflow on a trimmed glass tank? If so, can the water level in the tank be set so that it is above the bottom of the tank trim (i.e., not visible from outside the tank)?

Can't find any info about this on Eshopps site or elsewhere, but the teeth on the inside weir look like they are cut low (long) and I'm concerned they would be too low to allow the water level to be high enough to cover the trim. It looks like the outside box can only be mounted as high as the bottom of the tank trim which seems to indicate that the teeth on the inside weir would project well below the bottom of the tank trim. I plan on using this on a 75 gallon tank with about 500 gph return flow.

I guess one could glue some plastic over the bottom of the teeth to raise the water level, but I'd rather not do this on a brand new overflow.

Thanks for any help/replies.
