Question on flow rate for chiller

I got a used chiller but I don't have a clue about hooking it up. Its probably one of those things that doesn't need explanation to most people. I see an inlet and an outlet, both 3/4" fittings to barb for hose. I have a black vinyl hose for the 3/4" fittings.

Do I have to have a feed pump?
If I have to supply a pump how do I size it especially in view of the 3/4" fittings? Flow rate?

There is an digital indicator on the front and a dial for temperature farther down. This indicator I think tells the aquarium temp but it does not work. Any clue as to where I could purchase a replacement?

Make: Baytech Aquarium Chiller

1/4 HP, 5.3 amps - At this kind of draw I am afraid I would have to run a new electric circuit.

picture?? yes you need a pump to either run water from the sump and circulate through the chiller, or route a return line from your return pump through the chiller to the dt. the display will show the water temp inside the line before the chilling part so when water coming into the chiller is cool enough it shuts off. normally i think a 1/4 hp will work good around 5-600 gph there is a max.- min. for your chiller if you find a pdf owners manual on line it will be there.

I have hooked up a PSK 2500 which has 660gph. It seems to work well but now I have a question on line routing.

I currently have a sump/refugium setup. The feed pump is in the return section and the return line from the chiller is going into the skimmer/drain section. Does that sound like the thing to do?
