Question on green tube

I had a issue getting him attached to a rock, so I cut the power to my powerhead and let him chill on the sand and figure his own way around. He has seen attached to a rock, however, he's in the shade, not under any kind of lighting, is this normal? I have a t5 HO 6bulb, will he move if he decides he needs more light or what corrections should I make? He looks normal size, not doing anything odd, so am I just over worrying?

Tube anemones are sand dwellers, so I am guessing yours is a green bubble tip anemone, BTA for short, AKA Entamacea Quadricolor (that may be spelled wrong). If that's the case, they are known to hide for several days in a new tank if you don't take time to acclimate them to your lights. It should start to gradually come out again after a few days, so just be patient.

Ack, really sorry, I don't know why I put green tube, it's a green bubble anemone. This morning I noticed he was farely closed up and had some brown slime or goo hanging off of him, not sure I'm diggin' this guy anymore, lol.
