Hey guys,
I just joined the site and looking for a little help. I have a 75 gallon FOWLER tank and it was a established and cycled tank. It had 2 false percula clowns in it and I had a Kole Tang in a 40 breeder for a couple weeks waiting to go in the 75. The Kole Tang would brush against some rocks and stuff every once in a while. I didnt think anything of it since it was eating great and swimming around fine. I put him in my 75 gallon and he was in there for about 13 hours and when I got home from work he was in between 2 piece of liverock and was breathing somewhat heavy. He wasent covered in white spots but it looked like hemay have had a few on him. He did pass away though today. Would this have been ICH or velvet? I took the clowns out of the tank so it is empty now. If ICH what is the best way to have the tank ICH free without using chemicals since it has snails and crabs in it. I turned the temp up to 84* and read to leave fishless for 6-8 weeks..this correct? Any insight would be great. Also would the fish only being in the 75 for a short time infect the whole tank with ICH if that is what it was? Thanks
