question on my clownfish

I have 2 percs. 1 from ora, the other presumed from ora. The one i'm not sure of, the middle bar doesn't go all the way down. It stops half way and does a circle. What type of clown is he? False? True? I just added an ora false perc. They look the same minus the bar on the other one.

The fish sounds to be a false perc, but just one of the different barred variants out there.

only way to tell if it is a true perc is to kill it and count its bones, or so I have been told.

the strip, all Clowns will have variation in the stripes. breeders will call them Misbared when a stripe is incomplete.

Of course ORA has made a small fortune by selectively breeding hteir fish to enhance misbars and they have they have created some expensive and beautiful varriants.

Wahoo, feed them well and you may be looking at a spawning
pair in a couple of months. From what I've seen in my own clowns,
they usually don't bite at the live rocks that vigorously unless
they are ready to setup nest and spawn. I think I did see a small
bulge in the mis-bar clown.
