OK--I'll be there. Same place?

email me if anything changes--

Yup!

Hows this for turnaround...

I ordered Wednesday afternoon and it's in my tank of about 30 minutes ago.

Looks GREAT!

I already know of one hitchiker, a nice serpent star came in the sand. Some nice sponges too.

Thanks for the amazing service Richard, and the amazing rock!

Pictures to come as soon as the tank clears up!

Time to sift through the sediment left in the bags!

Keep an eye out for Gorilla Crabs too--those sneaky SOBs hitchhike to your tank in openings/holes and crevices in the rock. I have two and still can't catch the little mothers.

Anyone have any advice?

I got a serpant star too--but I haven't seen him in three weeks? Do they hide under sand for that long?

You'll start seeing all types of life on those TBS rocks. I see something different moving around every day. (worms)

I'm contemplating rigging the rock with TNT...

How about some new pics Wazoo? Interested to see how your rock is progressing!

It is finally cycled using Richards rock. No die-off of any life whatsoever--it took 17 days exactly to cycle. I took this picture just the other day.

Getting more rock and a cleaning crew tomorrow.

I found a dead one in the sediment...

Found at least a dozen little tiny stars and 2 things I can't quite figure out what they are. I'll post pics if anyone can ID but they aren't the clearest pics in the world. One looks like a tick and the other almost like a baby cucumber.

Not sure they are legs, they appear to be triangular shaped spines [The white spots] that it uses to crawl. Not too slow I might add.

Actually after watching this thing for a while I see that the white spines are along it's back, not what it uses to move.

Ok, how about these guys? Anyone know what they are? I've seen 3 so far swimming around and burying their head in the sand. Can't catch a pic of them without their heads buried.

And here's a preview of the rock after the water cleared up a bit.

The white in the pic is eggcrate that I used to make a rock support system out of. Was difficult to know what to make without knowing what rock I'd get but once I get the rest of the rock it won't be seen at all.
