Question on placement

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but still figuring out whats LPS, SPS, etc. Anyway, we are considering adding a clam to our tank, but the best place we have room would be pretty close to a goniopora. Is this placement OK?

hey Sarah, I think as long as the clam and goniopora aren't touching you should be ok. Also I think there is a forum specifically for clams..? Someone w/ experience keeping goniopora and clams could help out more than I.

SPS (Small Polyp Stoney) - the polyps on these corals are very small; around the size of a ball tip on a pen. ex. acroporas, montiporas, seriatoporas.
LPS (Large Polyp Stoney) - the polyps on these corals are usually much bigger; as big around as one of your fingers and larger. ex. goniopora, duncanopsammia(duncans) , caulastrea (candy canes).
